Anti-Markovnikov oxidation and hydration of terminal olefins.
Efficient syntheses of aldehydes and primary alcohols from terminal olefins are critical to the chemical laboratory and industry. Heavy emphasis has been placed on regioselective olefin functionalization in recent decades. This perspective mainly focuses on advances in the Wacker-type oxidation and tandem hydration of terminal olefins with anti-Markovnikov selectivity.
متن کاملRole of water in the partial oxidation of propane to acrylic acid over Mo1V0.3Te0.23Nb0.12Ox catalyst
Effects of water on the catalytic performances of MoVTeNbO catalyst in the oxidation of propane to acrylic acid have been investigated at different reaction temperatures and different steam contents. Obtained results show that both catalytic performances and catalyst structure are very sensitive to the presence of water vapor in the reaction feed. Presence of water induces some structural modif...
متن کاملNew products from partial oxidation of glycerol
A surplus of glycerol production due to several reasons has initiated investigation of several routes of oxidative glycerol upgrading. Among the reaction products are substances such as dihydroxyacetone and several acids from oxidative upgrading of glycerol. Several routes of chemical oxidation and electrochemical oxidation have been published in literature. The ongoing project has focused on t...

متن کاملDevelopment of a flow method for the hydroboration/oxidation of olefins.
A method for the continuous preparation of alcohols by hydroboration/oxidation of olefins using flow techniques is described. The process allows the isolation of up to 120 mmol h(-1) of the desired alcohol in a very rapid manner with good functional group tolerance. The flow setup can be modified to perform a continuous extraction of the desired alcohol from the biphasic mixture produced by the...
